Thespian. Producer. Director. All ARE multi-hyphenate Carl Gilliard. Film & Television credits include “INCEPTION”, “RED EYE”, “COACH CARTER”, “THE MANNSFIELD 12”, “HOUSE MD”, “24” and most recently “RISE AGAIN”, THE CHOIR DIRECTOR, PREACHERS SON and the LIFETIME PIC, “WUTHERING HIGH SCHOOL”.
On the theater front, Carl recently completed work as DIRECTOR on the poignant play, “POWER COUPLE STRUGGLE” in Los Angeles. He also Produced & Directed the NAACP nominated play “Section 8”, Produced the NAACP AWARD winning, “Steel Magnolias” and most recently, the premiere of “The Things That Make Men Cry” last in Los Angeles. Carl has appeared on stage in “NINTH WAVE”, “SOUTH OF WHERE WE LIVE”, “THE RIVER NIGER” & Don B Welch’s “WAITING FOR THE RAIN” & “The Living Quarters” to name just a few among dozens of plays.
Carl was the FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR of the FCBC REPERTORY COMPANY, the drama team at Faithful Central Bible CHURCH and is Co-Creator and Program Director for the Bill Duke Media Foundation’s Youth Media Camp.
